Best Toothpaste for Full Arch Dental Implants

If you are considering getting full arch dental implants or already have them, you may find that you need special tools to properly care for certain areas of your mouth. These are some of the dental implant cleaning tools that we found to be useful for ourselves.

Important Note

Prior to using any of these tools, be sure to contact your dental/healthcare professional to confirm if these are the appropriate tools for your personal situation. Also check with your healthcare professional on when is the appropriate time to begin using these tools (e.g. how long after your dental implant surgery) so that you don't risk damaging your implants and prosthetics or creating delays in your recovery/healing time.

Choosing A Toothpaste

Use non-abrasive tartar control toothpaste with your dental implants so that you don't scratch exposed surfaces of the implant like the threads. Avoid toothpaste containing charcoal or baking soda. Also avoid toothpaste designed for smokers and stain removal/teeth whitening.

A toothpaste's abrasiveness is measured by its ranking on the Relative Dentin Abrasivity (RDA) scale. The higher your toothpaste is on the scale, the more abrasive it is.

Sensodyne Pronamel is a popular toothpaste choice for dental implants.
